  On December 21st, Beijing grandly stages the 2019 emlyon Asia Annual Gala, bringing together hundreds of emlyon's faculties, students, alumni, business partners, cooperative universities and media guests from all over the world.

The 2019 emlyon Asia Annual Gala, which has WHYTEWOOLF as the exclusive title sponsor, consists of two sessions - early makers of the
Digital Future Forum and annual gala themed early makers Shaping a Better World. The forum invited Mr. Shan Jixiang, Director of the Institute of Gugong Studies and former chief curator of the Palace Museum, as a keynote speaker.

During Annual Gala, Professor William Hua Wang shared with the audience that the year 2019 is a year of rapid growth for emlyon Asia, with a 45% increase in student headcount. "emlyon established three innovation centers for sports, HR and Intelligent business in Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen respectively, further promoting the establishment of industry-university-research platform. emlyon will forge ahead, never forgetting its original aspiration. "

The Opening Ceremony of emlyon-China Elite Global Innovation Management EMBA Core Courses Program
The morning of November 30th, 2019 witnessed the opening ceremony of emlyon-China Elite Global Innovation Management EMBA Core Courses Program held in Beijing.

Professor William Hua Wang Associate Dean of emlyon and Dean of emlyon Asia, Prof. Xavier Richet, Professor of emlyon and the Institute of European Studies at the Université Sorbonne Nouvelle, and Mr. Tong Jiang, CEO of China Elite and Director of emlyon-China Elite Global Innovation Management EMBA Core Course Program Center, attended the event, joined by more than 80 participants. The ceremony kicked off with the Chinese and French national anthems. Prof. William Wang Hua delivered a speech as a representative of emlyon. The ceremony was chaired by Mr. Shen Renqi, Director of EDP Programs at emlyon Asia.

Artificial Intelligence And Academic Thinking Method Empower Entrepreneurs' own Development In The Next Five Years
On December 20th and 21st, 2019, two info sessions of emlyon Global DBA (Asia Track) were held in Beijing in succession, which gathered senior executives and entrepreneurs who are eager for a DBA journey in the future. Professor William Hua WANG, Associate Dean of emlyon, Dean of emlyon Asia, Professor Junsong CHEN, Assistant Dean of emlyon Asian Campus & Director of emlyon Global DBA Asia Track, Professor Wenxuan DING, Deputy Director of Business Intelligence Center of emlyon Asia participated in these events as guests. They not only shared the latest AI digital transformation trend which can lead them to create real business impact and become academic industry leaders but also shared how emlyon Global DBA Program has been continuously optimized and upgraded and what leads to its refined program design of 2020 intake. By taking these info sessions, participants have a clearer plan for how to join emlyon Global DBA and get new inspiration of challenging current business practice and devise new methods for progression in times of technological and geopolitical change and increasing uncertainty.

2019 Fall Asian Campus Semester Completed With Success
In December, 2019 Fall Asia Campus Semester have been completed successfully. In this semester, emlyon Asia welcomed 167 students from China and abroad in September, including 99 students from Grande Ecole Program, 13 students from European Triple Degree Program, 20 from BBA S7 program and 12 from Global BBA 2+2 program.

During the past three months in Asian Campus, students have stepped out of the comfort zones and dived into managerial and cultural experiences in China with spirit of early maker, the will to explore, and the courage to challenge themselves. They also brought passion, talents, youth, and love to Asian campus in 2019 fall semester.
ICP | Access To Global Talents And Co-create Value
In 2019 fall semester, 115 students of different nationalities and background formed 21 global dynamic teams to work on their ICP projects. Students were devoted to the projects each Thursday during the semester and produced recommendations which were presented professionally to the company in the final presentations from December 11th to 13th. In the program, students developed managerial and consulting potential by applying your knowledge and problem-solving skills to a real-world consulting project for an external organization. According to the company, the work was very professional throughout, students showed positive attitudes, high quality research with meaningful recommendations as the output.
   
Study Trip
Experience of Digitalized Life In China
On December 2nd, emlyon Asia welcomed 67 international students from France and Casablanca for a learning trip. Students are provided with opportunities to discover the high digitalized society of China and to get equipped with an understanding of business opportunities with the app world in China.

From December 2nd to 6th, students discovered China through courses, culture visits and company visits. Topics cover digitalization in China, e-commerce in China, digital branding strategy in China, Chinese innovation and manufacture power, mobile industry, and digital transformation of traditional retails. Students commented that the study trip were well organized and inspired from a totally different vision of the world and a different culture.

Event Review | Energizing Ecology, Accelerating Innovation, Discovering Intel's Future Technology
On December 18th 2019, "A Glimpse into Benchmarking Enterprises: Discovering Intel's Future Technology", co-organized by emlyon and China Business Club, was held at Intel Asia-Pacific Research & Development Center.

Lu Ju, General Manager of Intel Asia-Pacific Research & Development Ltd. and technical experts from the Center, together with Prof. Wenxuan DING, Deputy Director of Business Intelligence Center of emlyon Asia, shared the details with China Business Club members and emlyon alumni about Intel's exploration in the fields of big data, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, edge computing and the Internet of Things.
Empowering Others, Winning Together—emlyon Facilitates The 6th China International Summit on Senior Business Administration And The EMBA International Alliance.
On December 6th to 8th 2019, the first three council meetings of the EMBA International Alliance as well as the Sixth Chinese International Executive MBA Summit were successfully held in Beijing.

The following esteemed individuals were invited to attend the summit: Associate Professor Sai Lan, Associate Professor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Management; Academic Director of the EDP Program; Associate Director of Global Business Intelligence Center Operations at emlyon; Professor Tingjie Lü, Lecturing Professor for the emlyon - Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications GEMBA Program; and the chief expert and doctoral supervisor of the EMBA International Alliance.

During the roundtable discussion, Associate Professor Sai Lan mentioned: "As a European top-ranking business school with a history of nearly 150 years, the emlyon business school has always emphasized empowerment — empowerment in the fields of innovation and entrepreneurship, globalization, and lifetime empowerment through the Global DBA program."
Makers talk | Discern Value - 2019 China Digital Annual Conference
The "2019 China Digital Annual Conference" with the theme of "Discern Value" was grandly held in Chengdu on December 13th. Professor Gong Yeming, Director of Intelligence Center, emlyon, focusing on the digital revolution forum for industrial manufacturing, interpreted the "White Paper on the Development and Trend of China's Top 100 Intelligent Manufacturing" and shared his views On December 14th. In response to some audiences' opinion that Digitalization is "0 and 1", Professor Gong also explained a new point of view and finally discussed about the ten major trends of China's smart manufacturing 2020.
